• AnTuTu 3D: 1,036,884
• Geekbench 7: 953 (single-core) | 3,001 (multi-core)

While the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip isn’t probably the most highly effective one on this class, it does fairly properly whereas dealing with routine duties like calling, texting, media streaming, internet shopping, and navigation. You received’t ever end up needing extra energy in on a regular basis use. The apps load immediately, and the LPDDR5X RAM does a tremendous job of juggling a bunch of them collectively. The vibrational suggestions produced by the haptic motor is a bit blunt, however that could be a nitpick on our finish.

The Poco X8 Power can run titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile, though we suggest limiting your self to medium graphics and body fee for a clean gameplay expertise. We didn’t come throughout any unwarranted stutters or body drops throughout our time with the gadget. The inside cooling system did a superb job of managing the warmth generated by the gadget. We felt the primary indicators of heat alongside the again panel after crossing the 15-minute mark.

Software duties on this gadget are dealt with by Android 16 out of the field. Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 pores and skin brings its personal distinctive flavour into the combo. There are some bloatware apps and video games on the cellphone, however they are often utterly uninstalled. Poco has promised 4 main OS updates and 6 years of safety patches for the X8 Power, which is a fairly whole lot on this value bracket.

You do discover some iOS affect on a few parts (lock display and fast settings), nevertheless it has been executed tastefully, so we don’t have any complaints. We actually just like the customisation choices on supply for the lock display and residential web page. The native wallpaper library has quite a lot of thrilling stills. The ‘AI Dynamic Wallpapers’ have a pleasant movement impact to them, which works properly on the lock display. You can save a number of lock display/house web page mixtures and change them up everytime you like. You additionally get a superb vary of customisable AOD presets.

The X8 Power doesn’t have a central ‘Xiaomi HyperAI’ suite, however you do get instruments like AI Writing and AI Translator for on a regular basis duties. The former can provide you with drafts, essays, and emails, whereas the latter can translate your calls. On prime of that, you get Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini Assistant. The large 10,000mAh Si/C battery is what earns this smartphone its ‘Power’ moniker. This battery pack shops sufficient juice to last as long as 2 days of normal use. On days with 4-5 hours of display time, we had been left with a stable 40-45% cost nonetheless within the tank. The 100W energy adapter offered within the field took as much as an hour to totally cost the cellphone, which is a fairly spectacular feat while you take the battery dimension into consideration. The gadget additionally helps 27W reverse wi-fi charging.

The rear digital camera island homes a 50MP major shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. A 32MP selfie lens is nestled inside a punch-hole cutout on the show. The major shooter captures beautiful pictures in outside daylight circumstances. The footage look vibrant with out shedding their pure really feel. The sharpness of those pictures units them other than different telephones on this class. The distinction and dynamic vary are on level too. In restricted lighting circumstances, the Night Mode does a superb job of artificially lighting up the shot and decreasing the noise.

Images captured utilizing the ultrawide lens are a tad smooth, however their color tone is on level. In outside daylight circumstances, we had no points handing over the reins to this sensor whereas taking broad pictures. The smartphone did the mandatory issues behind the scenes to make sure that the ultrawide photos look as near their major sensor counterparts as doable. In restricted lighting circumstances, the pictures seemed a bit grainy, however nonetheless satisfactory.

The Portrait Mode within the native Camera app gives 2 focal size choices – 26mm and 52mm. The portraits are vibrant, well-focused, and ‘poppy’, however the energy of the background blur leaves extra to be desired. The 32MP front-facing digital camera captures clear and detailed selfies.
